Content Vault¶
The Content Vault is the editor's library of ready-made content from Lucky Robots. It holds packs of robots, meshes, materials, tools, AI content and procedural graphs that install into the project you have open, and environments and example projects that each create a new project. The Content Vault panel is where you browse, install, update and remove them.
In short
Open View → Content Vault, find a pack with Search packs... or the category
list, and click its download icon. Asset packs, such as robots and procedural graphs,
install into the open project under Assets/ContentVault. Environments and examples
ask for a name and location and create a new project. Installed packs show a green
check and a small button to remove them, plus one to update them when a newer version
is available.
Opening the Content Vault¶
Choose View → Content Vault. The panel opens in the Main zone of the editor.
The pack list appears straight away, using the pack details the editor has downloaded before, and then checks for new and updated packs in the background. If the editor cannot reach the Content Vault, an error message appears above the list; check your internet connection and click Refresh to try again.
Finding packs¶
The toolbar at the top of the panel narrows the list:
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Refresh | Checks again for new and updated packs. Unavailable while a refresh or an install is running. |
| Search packs... | Shows only packs whose name or tags contain the text. |
| Category list | All, or one of the categories below. With All, packs are grouped under a heading per category. |
| Installed Only | Shows only the packs installed in the open project. |
Packs are listed in the order the Content Vault publishes them, not by name. Hover over a pack's thumbnail for half a second to see its description and tags.
The categories, and what installing a pack from each one does:
| Category | Installing a pack |
|---|---|
| Robots | Adds the robot's model, meshes and any policies, motion graph and scripts to the open project |
| Meshes | Adds the pack's assets to the open project |
| Materials | Adds the pack's assets to the open project |
| Tools | Adds the pack's assets to the open project |
| AI | Adds the pack's assets to the open project |
| Procedural Graphs | Adds the pack's procedural graphs (.hpodgraph) to the open project |
| Environments | Creates a new project from the environment |
| Examples | Creates a new project from the example |
Reading a pack card¶
Each card shows the pack's name and thumbnail. The bottom of the card shows its state:
| Bottom of the card | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Download icon (tooltip Download) | Not installed. Click it to install the pack. |
| Spinner and a status line, such as Downloading..., Extracting... or Installing dependency | An install is in progress. |
| Green check | Installed in the open project. |
| Requires and a version range, with a dimmed thumbnail | Made for a different version of the editor, so it cannot be installed. See Version requirements. |
An installed pack also has small buttons in the top-right corner of its card: x to remove it and, when an update is available, ^ to update it. See Updating and removing packs.
Installing an asset pack¶
Robots, Meshes, Materials, Tools, AI and Procedural Graphs packs install into the project that is open:
- Open the project you want to add the pack to.
- Click the pack's download icon. The card shows the progress of the download and install.
- If the pack depends on other packs, the editor installs those first.
- When the install finishes, the card shows a green check. The pack's files are in the
Content Browser under
Assets/ContentVault/<Category>/, in a folder for the pack, for exampleAssets/ContentVault/Robots/.
If the pack includes C# scripts, the editor builds the project's scripts after installing it.
Installing a robot pack adds the robot's files to the project but does not place it in a scene, and robots cannot be dragged from the Content Vault panel. To place one, open the Robots panel (View → Robots), or choose Robots in the viewport's Create (+) menu, then click the robot's card or drag it into the viewport. How to add a robot to a scene, and what it comes with, is covered in Robots. Procedural graphs are covered in Procedural Graphs.
Creating a project from an environment or example¶
Environments and Examples packs create a new project instead of adding to the open one.
- Click the pack's download icon. The Create Example Project dialog opens, showing the pack's thumbnail, name, version and description, with the note Downloads a fresh copy of this example and creates a new project at the location below.
- Set Project Name. It starts as the pack's name.
- Set Location, the folder the project goes in. It starts as your default projects folder; click ... to choose another. The dialog shows the folder it Creates, and warns if a folder with that name already exists or the name is not valid.
- Click Create. A Creating Project window shows the progress, with a Cancel button.
- When the project is ready, the editor closes the current project and opens the new one.
Save your work first
The editor switches to the new project as soon as it is ready. Save the scene you are working on before you click Create.
The bundled Welcome example is always listed under Examples. It ships with the editor, so it shows as installed and cannot be removed. The examples themselves are described in Example Projects.
Updating and removing packs¶
When a newer version of an installed pack is available, its card shows a ^ button in the top-right corner. Its tooltip reads Update to v followed by the new version number. Packs installed by an older editor that did not record a version show the same button, with a tooltip that starts Reinstall. Click it to reinstall the pack:
- The new version is downloaded first. If the download fails, the installed version is left as it was.
- The pack's installed files are then replaced with the new version, so changes you made inside the pack's folder are lost. Copy anything you want to keep out of the folder first.
To remove a pack, click the x button on its card. A dialog titled Are you sure? names the pack and explains This will delete all installed files for this pack. Click Delete to remove it, or Cancel to keep it.
The ^ button is hidden while an install is running.
Version requirements¶
Some packs are made for particular versions of the editor. A pack that does not support the version you are running has a dimmed thumbnail, and a Requires label in place of the download icon:
| Label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Requires 2026.1.0+ | Needs editor 2026.1.0 or newer |
| Requires < 2026.2.0 | Needs an editor older than 2026.2.0 |
| Requires 2026.1.0 - 2026.2.0 | Needs editor 2026.1.0 or newer, but older than 2026.2.0 |
Hover over the thumbnail for the full requirement, such as Requires editor 2026.1.0 or newer, below 2026.2.0, followed by This editor is and the version you are running. Some packs are not listed at all in editor versions they do not support.
Procedural graph packs and older graph formats¶
The Procedural Graphs category holds packs of procedural graphs, the node graphs Lucky
Engine uses for procedural meshes, robot motion, animation and sound. They install like any
other asset pack, into the pack's folder under Assets/ContentVault/.
See Procedural Graphs for using them.
The editor checks the graphs in every pack before installing it. A pack that still
contains graph files in the 2026.2 formats (.hmograph, .hanimgraph or .sound_graph)
is rejected: the install stops and nothing from that pack is added to the project. The same
check applies to updates, so a rejected update leaves the installed version in place.
Where to go next¶
- Robots covers placing an installed robot in a scene, and its policies and motion graph.
- Example Projects describes the example projects in the Vault.
- Procedural Graphs explains the graphs in the Procedural Graphs category.
- Assets covers the Content Browser, where installed packs appear.
